Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday little man!
Mama can hardly believe you are already one. This year has gone by so fast and you have grown so much.
You are such a loving and friendly boy; hardly ever shy with anyone, and always flirting with strangers when we are out. You seem to make friends where ever we go. It melts Mamas heart when you try to give hugs and kisses to your cousins and your friends. It is not just people, you love animals too. Our cat Kona is one of your best friends, sometimes you love her a little too much, being gentle is something you are still learning.
You still do not sleep well, so Mama and daddy are very tired. I hope this changes soon. We think you might be having some issues with your tummy so we are treating you for reflux since we know you had that when you were younger. Aside from that you are a very healthy boy. You enjoy eating, a few of your favourites are watermelon and pasta. Anytime Mama or Daddy eat or drink something you always want to try it. You are actually getting quite good at using the big cups and your fork and spoon. You want to do everything we do. Sometimes I have to remind myself that this is a good thing, and let you try things so that you can learn. You are so smart already, like a little sponge you seem to be absorbing everything around you. You catch on very quickly how things work and are very determined when you are trying to do things. At times like those you want to be so independent, never wanting help from anyone. but as independent as you can be you never really want to be alone. You prefer to play with someone than by yourself. One of these days we hope you will have a sibling to play with but for just a little while longer Mama and Daddy want it to just be the three of us.
We love you so much. More than anything else in the whole world. And we are very proud of the person you are becoming. Here's to another year filled with new experiences and lots of love and laughter.
