First of all is it really Monday already??
What happened to last week?! I seriously feel like I fell asleep and a week has past. Trying to think what I did but it hasn't been much...
~ I went to my first NHL game last night; watched Toronto play in Ottawa. They lost (of course) but it was still fun. I was a little surprised to see the stands at least 50% full of blue and white Toronto jerseys. Those Maple leaf fans are die hard. I will post a pic or two when I get them, my camera died so we took pics with friends cameras.
~ baby V has been moving like crazy the past 3 days, and I felt his first "outside" kick during the last 3 minutes of the game last night. I think all the loud cheering etc caused it he gave me a good little jab :) Hubby felt a light jab tonight too. He's getting stronger that's for sure.
~ work is going slow, some days I see only 2 hours worth of clients which sucks and i feel is pretty much a waste of my day. Both last week and this week tho I've got 2 shifts working in our clinic (our company does home nursing and runs a clinic) so that's a couple 8 hours days, plus my community hours. Better for my bank account.
~ I'm pretty much huge. Or at least feel like it, I'm noticing I can't move the same way I used too, getting in and out of the car feels slightly uncomfortable at times. This worries me, I am able to take a "sick leave" prior to my actual maternity leave for 15 weeks if needed. And as long as I have my required 600 hours for my maternity leave it won't affect me having a year off after baby V is born. but taking leave early means being on a smaller income for even longer. It could also mean more money monthly bc of my coordinator job last year but it's a stressful thing to consider right now. My friend works for service Canada and is going to come over so we can estimate numbers.
~ I gave my opinion on a article a friend posted on Facebook and I think this has caused some tension since my view does not match hers. Her view was also biased. I'm going to post the article for you this week along with my thoughts, despite the fact people may not agree with my thoughts I'm ok with that. I enjoy conflicting thoughts on these things. ;)
~ I'm slowly getting rid of stuff still, it's a slow process since I often don't have the energy after work. Im off again Thursday so hopefully I will acomplish more.
~ today is Halloween :) so happy Halloween everyone! It's our first year giving out candy, we had a few busy rushes and for the past 30 minutes nobody's came. Soon I will turn out that porch light and finish the candy myself :). No costumes or parties for us this year.
Hope everyone is having a safe and happy Halloween :)

Miscellaneous Monday
Hope everyone had a good weekend :)
~ project declutter is well underway :) I have give away piles forming and emails are coming in about the random stuff I am selling yay! So far I have sold two things and made $60!
~ I have decided to switch my living room with my dinning room. Total room swap. My mother in law suggested it when she was here in September and despite telling her it was a ridiculous idea it has been in the back of my head since. I think I have come up with a plan that will work and will look good. I'll keep you posted on that project. I'm hoping she forgets it was her idea ;)
~ I can now access my craft supplies and have several projects lined up... However the room swap and declutter project are taking up a lot of time. Soon enough I will make something again!
~ apparently all these home projects mean I'm "nesting" already. People keep telling me this so I guess it's true.
~ Sunday was the 20 week half way milestone :) only 20 more to go and only 4 weeks until viability. My mid section is now 38" !
~ I am now feeling movement in my belly on a regular basis. Occasionally I feel distinct kicks/punches. :)
~ I am super excited for Halloween! Not to dress up or a party; simply excited that for the first time ever we are living in a house and we will get trick or treaters! I've been stocking up on candy :) (and trying not to eat it)
~ I am trying to decide if I want to do photography for income while on mat leave. I am not that comfortable charging people yet. I have my first (trial) paying client booked for a mother daughter photo shoot this weekend :s super nervous.
~ I am once again addicted to pinterest. This happens to me, I go crazy can't live without it and then I don't care for a while. Right now I am on it multiple times a day looking for ideas. I signed up using my iPad and was unable to set up the pin button for web browsing which makes me a pinterest stalker.
~ I desperately need to do something with my hair. Not sure what yet.
~ I am going to my first NHL game this Sunday. Pretty excited just hope my pink Toronto jersey still fits. The game is in Ottawa and personally I don't care enough about hockey to have a faveourite team I am however a Toronto maple leafs fan by marriage.
~ I have now run out of things to tell you and couldn't find a cartoon I liked so I'll leave you with my 20 week belly shot :) it looks a lot like the 19 week pic.

Project De Clutter my house
It's funny how one can go from living in a small 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 story townhouse and within 12 months feel as you've got too much stuff.
I think the fact we got married just over a year ago must have something to do with it. Shower and wedding gifts have accumulated but not replaced old possessions, furniture has been purchased to fill the extra space only to find something else later. Things we thought we would want to keep now just taking up space.
Somewhere (possibly on Pinterest) I saw this idea of 100 things in a 100 days or something of that sorts. I didn't have Pinterest at the time so I never saved it. The idea has however stuck with me, I've just been waiting for the right time to do it.
That time is now.
I don't have the patience for 100 days, I am going to set a closer goal of getting rid of 100 things by November 30th. That's 41 days. Now that I've told you I had better do it. I'll keep a list of it all and report back to you of how I did. There must be 100 things here I can get rid of.
I started today by trying to clean out the room that will be the nursery. I even post 3 adds on kijji offering things for free. Anything to get them out of here!
Sort of a spring cleaning project but in the fall.
Wish me luck!

Oh Boy!
Yesterday we had our anatomy ultrasound; you know the one where they check everything from the brain to the toes. Well ours went well and all the PIECES were there.
It was really cool to see everything in such detail! At first it took me a bit to get the hang of deciphering what I was looking at; at one point I thought maybe a boy, then maybe a girl....
At the end the tech asked if we saw everything we wanted to see... So I asked if she got a good view of baby's goods.
She said she saw right away, apparently babys bum was perfectly positioned so that when she put the probe on the first view was the money shot! She said she moved quickly incase we didn't want to know. She showed us again and we clearly are having a BOY! He was positioned perfectly we had a great view!
Hubby is super excited and slightly shocked because he was convinced it would be a girl lol. We both are extremely pleased.
Girl cousin had another scan an hour before us and turns out both her twins are boys! I can't wait for the three if them to become friends and grow up together :)
And now I'll leave you with some pics! Hope everyone is well :)

The itch has subsided
Did I tell you I was itchy?
Cause I was. Insanely itchy. Itching so bad there were moments when screaming at the tops of my lungs would quite possible have provided some relief.
And it was my whole body. Not just my belly or other areas you might expect to expand. MY WHOLE BODY.
My hands, my arms, my feet and legs. My back, my butt, my head and neck.
And of all the places to itch my belly itches the least. Go figure.
I told my doctor about it... Her response ... "oh that's normal" WTF kinda answer is that? That does not help me!
I did some research of my own (cause my own doctor has an accent and I didn't feel like having her repeat the reason), the extra blood flow combined with stretching skin cause itching during pregnancy. Since I did have some swelling in my hands I guess that answer will do. And thinking about it that may have been the proper translation for what the doctor told me too.
But as the title of this post says; the itching has subsided. i still itch at times but it's a more normal itch that is relieved by a quick scratch type of itch. Not too sure what changed, maybe it was just a phase, maybe my body adapted to the increased blood flow. Maybe it was my being a crazy mofo and soaking my body in bio oil and moisturizing lotion (alternating) multiple times a day.
Whatever it was its over (for now) thank god!
Since I have nothing else to tell you right now I'll leave you with this cartoon.
Have a good weekend! :)

Miscellaneous Mondays
I wanted to do a random post with random thoughts and events that had occurred; however I could not decide what day to do it, if I was even going to stay consistent with that day etc etc.
So I have decided on doing a Miscellaneous Monday post. We will have to see if this continues every Monday or just every couple Mondays.
So here we go:
~ First off Happy Turkey Loving Day (a.k.a Thanksgiving)!! Cause of course we Canadian's are crazy and celebrate this holiday before Halloween *gasp* lol. Recently on the msg boards for my baby bump app a bunch of American's let loose on how they felt about us celebrating this holiday early. Whats the big deal? I get turkey this weekend, you get it next month? meh. whatever floats your boat. I actually know a few Canadian's that take advantage and celebrate next month too hehehe sneaky devils.

~ I felt my very first two distinct "jabs" in my belly last Wednesday evening. I wasn't 100% positive at first but they were two high up to be gas and when I had my prenatal the heartbeat was detected in the same area. We could also hear lots of movement and more "jabs" :)
~ I am on the search for yummy vegetarian meals since my meat intake is very limited. At this point there has been some improvement as I can eat some bites of chicken and ground beef as long as its mixed with something. We'll have to see if this aversion completely goes away or not.
~ I can not get at any of my crafting supplies or desk because there is an old double bed propped up against that wall. Hubby and I upgraded a couple weeks ago to a king size and have yet to figure out how to get rid of the old bed.
~ I've recently started a new job (again) this time doing travel to homes nursing. I get to use a lot more of my hands on clinical skills which I love; however I have taken yet again another pay cut. I'm hoping this works out and I can bring in enough to not make us stress the next coming months.
~ I am going to start exercising again ( I got clearance from my doctor) and weigh myself once a week... I gained 9lbs in 4 weeks apparently. You can't see it except how much my belly has popped out but this huge jump can not become a trend or else I will be a total fatty.*edit* I started this post early; I have now concluded that I have started to bloat already and today is totally a fat bloated day. Damn water retention.
~ My Parents have decided to try to work on things (for now), mainly because my step father could not move out since his mother has not been placed in a nursing home yet and my mom owns the house so she's not going anywhere.
~ Hubby and I took Daisy (our beagle) out for a 2 hour (wasnt supposed to be that long) nature walk/hike at a nearby conservation area today. The weather was beautiful and Daisy LOVED it! She had never been there before and her little hound nose was in overdrive so many smells and noises! I brought my camera and took pics, even got some of these little birdies eating from our hands :) I might share them later... but note above the fatty bloated day so maybe not lol.
~ I am fairly certain that I am going to make a specific baby blog after all. I wasn't going to do it but this weekend Hubby's Aunt made a comment on how its too bad there wasn't websites where family could check in on the pregnancy and include a wishlist of needed items, preview of nursery etc. I kinda don't want to be handing out the url to this one still so we'll see what happens.
And that is all! Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Where were you this time last year?
Fall is offically here,
there's frost in the morning,
refreshingly crisp cool breeze in the wind,
and as much as I LOVE this season
I can't help but think of where we were last year.
Slightly wishing I was there,
and envious of anyone doing any traveling right now.
Hubby and I were enjoying Barbado's and all its glory,
where were you?
Boogie Boarding in the Ocean |
Drinking out of coconuts |
Sailing on a catamaran |
Snorkeling with the turtles |
Deep Sea fishing |
What's vacation without a Pina Colada? |
So I ask;
at what age is it appropriate to travel with a baby?
Cause I'm thinking its time to start pre planning the next trip!

Welcome
Welcome to my new blog!
Hello and welcome to new friends and old :)
If you've come from my old blog you will notice a difference here, one I hope you will enjoy and decide to stick around for.
I needed a change. A more positive atmosphere if you will.
I was stuck in a rut and couldn't get out!
My plan for this blog is to show you all a little more of me, be a little more open, a little more honest and have a little more fun of course too.
I plan to blog of course about this pregnancy and life following it HOWEVER please note this is not going to be a baby blog!
I plan to blog about all the things I enjoy, my photography, my crafts, my desire to be organized but lack there of (This will be a mission to solve) and of course every other little thing that comes up in between.
I hope you will stick around and join me.
